From the planning, you can link the activities worked on each session with the assessments you do from the gradebook. You can do this from both the general planning and the group planning, whether on the weekly view or units view.
In order to add activities linked to an assessment, you just need to click on “Add activities” in the “Planning activities” section.
You can create different activities in the planning, both assessable and not assessable. That way you will have a general overview of the activities to be done in each session.
Note: Teachers that already have a planning from previous versions will have to add a new section to the planning by clicking on “Add +” and add the “Activities” section. Then a new empty section named “Activities” will appear on the session. You can also add this section to the template so that it appears automatically when adding new plannings.
When adding an activity in this section, you have to select whether the activity is assessable or not assessable.
If it’s not assessable, a text field will appear so that you can add the activity description. This activity will appear on the planning after saving it.
If it’s assessable, you will have to add a title (which will be the one for the column to assess) and select the grade type you will use to assess the activity as well as in which tab you want to place the column. Saving will create the activity on the planning and a column on the gradebook, in which you can start assessing the activity.
The planner icon will appear on this column of the gradebook. If you click on it, you can see or edit the activity linked to this assessment.
From the planner, you can also edit the title of the activities you have already created at any time by clicking on the activity you need to edit.
When editing an assessable activity, you can go to the column linked to it by clicking on “Actions”.
When adding an assessable activity, you will also have the option to add the linked skills and standards that are linked in the group.
