Users with Premium App license: How to start using Additio App multi-device license

In this tutorial you will find all the necessary steps to enjoy Additio App and have your data synchronised between your devices and the web version.

The first step for being able to use the multi-device licence is to sign up. You can use any email you like, but if you use the same with which you purchased the Premium app version (individual licence for each device), you still have to sign up. You can do it from the web version or directly from the app version installed in your iPad, Android smartphone or tablet.

NOTE: The app version can be installed from Play Store or App Store, depending on the operating system of your device.

Sign up for users with Premium App license

To sign up from a computer, access https://web.additioapp.com/, press the Create Account button and fill in the cases with your personal data. Each time you want to use the app from your computer you will have to use this link. You will also find a shortcut in the upper menu in our web additioapp.com.

If you want to sign up from your tablet or smartphone, access the section More Features that appears in the main menu of the apps and press on the button Sign up and enjoy 30 days for free!

Once you have signed up, you will have access to the web version in any computer with an Internet connection and you will enjoy for free during 30 days all the Premium features in the web version and in the devices in which you have logged in with your account.

In the bottom part of the app’s and web’s main menu you will see in how many days your trial version will expire, and next to it you will find the Subscribe Now button, which will allow you to subscribe and purchase this licence.

NOTE: If you purchase the app from your tablet or smartphone, you will be able to choose any form of payment you have linked to your Play Store or App Store account (the platform depends on the operating system of your device). If the purchase is done in the web version, the payment can be made with your credit card or PayPal account.

NOTE: The renewal of the multi-device licence is not automatic; we will always ask for the user’s consent. A few days before your licence is about to expire or the trial period is about to finish, you will receive an email offering you to renew the subscription. In case you decide not to renew it, you won’t be able to keep using the app and, therefore, you will not have access to your data.

 

Installing the apps and logging into your account:

To be able to synchronise the data between your tablet, phone and web version, you will have to follow these steps in all the devices:

1. Download the app version in the devices you want to use

If you have already downloaded the application, you have to make sure you have the last version. You can check it and update it if necessary from the Play Store and the App Store.

2. Access the Settings option in the main menu and log in with your username at Access Additio App.

3. Make a first synchronisation

You will see that, once you have entered your access data in your tablet and smartphone, the option Synchronise will appear in the main menu and in Settings. This option will let you transfer data between the devices in which you’ve logged in with your user account.

Once you have selected the Synchronise option, the option Synchronise Data will be activated by default. We recommend activating the option Students’ Pictures in the initial load, that is, when you add their pictures in the students’ record. To synchronise the resources, check this tutorial.

NOTE: The first synchronisation can take a few minutes if you have a lot of data in your application. If you cannot access the Internet, you will be able to keep using the app in your tablet or smartphone, because an Internet connection is needed only to use the web version and synchronise your data.

From this moment on, the app and the web will be synchronised. Whenever you want to transfer data between your phone or tablet and the server, you will be able to do it easily with a synchronisation. This synchronisation will only be possible if you have logged into your Additio App account in the device (tablet or smartphone); therefore, if you log out, you will have to log in again.

NOTE: Keep in mind that with the Additio App multi-device version you can link a maximum of 3 devices. If you ever change your device, format it or uninstall the app, Additio App will detect it as a new device.
